Proud to be a Warrior
Woodhaven Families,
I just wanted to take a moment to say how incredibly proud I am of our entire Woodhaven team after tonight’s meet.
Winning races is exciting, but what stood out even more was the character and sportsmanship our athletes, parents, and families displayed throughout the evening.
I saw our swimmers high-fiving the Black Oak swimmers after races, encouraging one another on the blocks, and celebrating great swims regardless of which team was in the lane. I heard Woodhaven parents and athletes cheering for every swimmer in the pool—not just our own. Those moments are what make this team so special.
Sportsmanship, kindness, and respect are values that matter just as much as fast times, and tonight our Warriors represented those values beautifully. You should all be proud of the example you set for our younger swimmers and for our community.
Thank you to our athletes for competing with heart, to our coaches for leading by example, and to our families for creating such a positive atmosphere. This is exactly the kind of team culture we’re building together.
I’m so proud to be part of the Woodhaven family. Go Warriors!
See you at the pool tomorrow for Fun Friday!
