2026 Dive Team

Our coaches come with plenty of experience! Our head coaches and assistant coach have all been diving since they were young, mostly as Woodhaven Warriors! They come with the knowledge that summer dive should be fun, competitive and at times, challenging.
These coaches have also had successful seasons diving for the Centerville High School dive team. Peter and Ashlyn both won first place in their division 1 conference. Claire and Aurora had fantastic results during their high school dive season as well!
Dive Practice Information
Dive practices will begin JUNE 1st at 9:00!
Practices are held for one hour between 9:00am and 11:30 am Monday thru Friday.
*If your child is doing swim team and dive team, your diver may come to dive before or after their swim practice. Divers must be able to swim from the center of the dive pool to the ladder without help.
Dive Meet Information
Regular season dive meets are on Wednesdays, with warm-ups starting at 5:00 for the host teams. Each team will be given 20 minutes for warm ups, meets starting at 6:00.
Coaches will complete diving sheets prior to every meet. Once dives have been selected and the diving sheets have been completed, the diver may not change his/her diving sheet without permission from the referee.
All regular season diving meets are conducted in the following order:
6 & under – 2 dives
1 Front dive and 1 optional dive
7 & 8 – 3 dives
1 Front dive, 1 back dive, 1 optional dive
9-10 – 3 dives
1 Front dive, 1 back dive, 1 optional dive
11-12 – 4 dives
1 Front dive, 1 back dive, 2 optional dives from different categories.
13-14 – 4 dives
1 Front dive, 1 back dive, 2 optional dives from different categories
15-18 – 5 dives
1 Front dive, 1 back dive, 1 twisting dive, 2 optional dives from different categories.
Volunteers:
We welcome volunteers at the judges table or as a judge for any meet during our short season. However, those who are doing both swim and dive, it is strongly encouraged to use your volunteer slot for the swim meets. Volunteering for dive will not count towards your swim volunteers because our season is short and meets are fast....like our swim team! :)

The SSA championship dive meet will be held:
July 1, 2026 at Woodhaven. Warm-ups will begin at 5:00.
July 2, 2026 will be the rain date! Warm-ups will begin at 5:00.
Your diver must have participated in at least one regular season dive meet in order to be eligible for championships. We will start with the younger divers, and will have additional warm-ups in between age groups. Awards are announced during warm up times throughout the meet.
